I bought my 1960 Oldsmobile back in 1995 for about $350 from a junkyard. It was in pretty sad shape. It had been sitting in a field for 12 years, and needed a total restoration. It's still not actually done, but it's getting a lot closer.

After I bought it, I had a friend help me drag it home from the junkyard. It was a minor miracle nothing bad happned on the way home...the brakes were shot, and of course there was no power steering with the motor off. After I got it home, I tinkered with it and tried to get it running. The engine gaskets were actually all dried out, and it leaked so bad between the timeing cover and engine block that I couldn't fill the radiator.
